Former two-term president of the American Physical Therapy Association
As part of the USP Physical Therapy Department's 25th year celebration, Ben F. Massey, Jr., , PT, MA, will take a look at the past 25 years of the profession. Well regarded for his contributions to the field of physical therapy, Mr. Massey served two terms as president of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) from 2000-06. He is currently Executive Director of the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners in Durham, North Carolina. An active APTA member since 1976, Massey has served the Association in many leadership positions, including as secretary of the APTA Board of Directors, vice speaker of the APTA House of Delegates, and chair of the APTA Nominating Committee.
